Those hot, sweaty, long day lit hours of Summer 2018 have finally come to an end this last weekend with the Autumnal Equinox, which marks the beginning of Autumn here, in the Northern Hemisphere. Saying “hello Autumn” and “see-you-soon, Summer” as the sun sets upon the last weekend of Summer is always hard for me. Luckily enough, there are still more warm days to be had here in Greece during autumn before the cooler winter weather sets in.
School is already back in session for 2018/2019, and I find myself secretly celebrating that I have somehow managed to negotiate my way through a busy 3 months of endless adventures and trips to the seaside with my tribe!
And, although it’s been plenty of fun, (seriously, I really do enjoy having everyone together) with a much more relaxed routine, of what I like to call the “Lazy Days” of Summer, I know that I am breathing a quiet sigh of relief as I gain back some much missed personal space and of course uninterrupted “ME TIME”. Plus, having more structured days again, for myself and the boys is a nice welcome. Looking back over the last 3 months, I hope that all my boys remember moments like these…
A fallen leaf is nothing more than a Summer’s wave of goodbye.
